Bello tornare a casa dopo lunghe assenze. Comprendere esattamente cosa significa casa, o meglio la propria casa, l'home come è inteso bene nella lingua inglese, non è facile. La casetta di campagna ad Affi, in provincia di Verona, ai piedi del maestoso Monte Baldo, fra il lago di Garda e il fiume Adige, è rallegrata dai primi vagiti.
